2.1 Personal Information

When you register and use QuizPlant, we may collect:

• Account information such as name, email address, username, and password
• Profile information such as display name, profile picture, and preferences
• Authentication data from third-party authentication providers when social login is used

2.2 Content and Usage Data

• User-generated content such as questions, solutions, flashcards, quizzes, text, and uploaded images
• Uploaded PDF documents, highlights, notes, selected page text, selected excerpts, and document-area captures you choose to use
• Study activity such as flashcard reviews, quiz scores, and learning progress
• Preferences such as study time, timezone, notifications, and theme settings

2.3 Technical Information

• Device information such as device type, operating system, browser type, and version
• Usage data such as pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform
• Log data such as IP address, access times, error logs, and API requests
• Cookies and preference/session tracking data

2.4 Image Content

When you upload an image for question solving:

• We process the image to understand and solve the question
• Images may be stored to keep them connected to your question and study content
• Extracted information may be saved with the resulting solution, flashcards, or quiz
• You can request deletion of your account and associated content

3.1 Service Provision

• Create and manage your account

• Provide spaced repetition scheduling
• Send daily study reminders based on your preferences

3.2 Service Improvement

4.1 AI Processing

QuizPlant uses artificial intelligence services, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google AI, to solve questions, interpret images, and generate quizzes and flashcards.

When you explicitly request an AI document feature, the selected excerpt, selected page text, or captured document area needed for that request may be transmitted to the configured third-party AI provider under data protection agreements. Opening a document, highlighting text, writing a note, or manually saving a flashcard does not by itself start an AI request.

7.4 Notification Preferences

12.1 Product Analytics (PostHog)

If you consent to Product Analytics in the QuizPlant mobile application, we use PostHog Cloud EU, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany, to understand whether selected study features are useful and reliable.

• Events may include opening the app; starting, completing, or retaking a quiz; and starting or completing a flashcard review
• Event properties are limited to operational measurements such as question or card counts and quiz score percentages
• PostHog may process a pseudonymous SDK identifier and technical context such as app version, device type, and operating system version
• We do not identify you to PostHog or send your QuizPlant account identity

12.2 Error Reports (Sentry)

If you consent to Error Reports in the QuizPlant mobile application, we use Sentry in its Germany region to receive crash reports and technical error details so we can diagnose stability problems.

• Reports may contain crash stack traces, app version, device model, operating system version, and related technical diagnostics
• Our Sentry configuration disables performance tracing, profiling, screenshots, view hierarchy attachments, session replay, and default personally identifiable information
• We do not assign your QuizPlant account identity or email address to Sentry reports

12.3 Your Consent Choices

Product Analytics and Error Reports are optional and controlled independently. Neither service is initialized before you save a choice in the mobile application.

You can accept both, continue without sharing, or manage each preference separately. You can change either choice at any time from Privacy & Data in the application settings. Disabling a choice stops future collection for that service and does not limit the core functionality of QuizPlant.

Your mobile consent choices are stored locally on your device, remain in place when you sign out, and may be reset if you uninstall the application. We retain analytics and diagnostic data only for configured service-retention periods and as otherwise necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Question text, answers, uploaded images, email addresses, account identifiers, and other study content are not sent to PostHog or Sentry through these mobile analytics and error-reporting integrations.
